Woman with baby on lap crashes into building at TIA

Last Update: 11/20/2009 2:23 pm
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL -- A woman waiting with a baby in her lap at TIA's arrival pick-up area lost control and crashed into a building, officials say.

Authorities say the woman, who had an unrestrained infant on her lap, lost control of her vehicle at the American Airlines baggage claim.

The truck crashed into the building, hitting the aquarium inside of the airport. The infant suffered minor scrapes and no other injuries were reported.

Airport officials say they were able to save some of the fish, and say they have to make some major repairs.

It is unclear if any charges will be filed at this time.
