Urine more trouble now sir

Last Update: 7/20/2009 4:25 pm
An 18-year-old Poulsbo man made a bigger mess for himself after urinating in a Kitsap County Sheriff's Office vehicle on his way to jail.

The man was stopped by a deputy after his Jeep was involved in an accident. The deputy reported smelling alcohol on the man's breath.

Another deputy said there was an open case of beer in the back seat, but the man said he hadn't been drinking. After more questions, he said he would not answer more questions without speaking to an attorney. The man then refused to take a sobriety test.

The man called the deputy a "rent-a-cop", said he knew the officer was wrong for arresting him, and said the deputy must have been a bully in school.

When he was placed in the patrol car, he attempted to pull his cuffed hands around to his front. When the deputy tried to stop him, he said he needed to go to the bathroom. The deputy told him he could go when he got to jail.

Unsatisfied with that answer, the man urinated in the backseat while he was being transported to the jail.

When the car arrived at the jail, the man was laughing and told the deputy he intentionally urinated in the car.

The deputy reported that the man was able to reach around and unzip his fly, then he urinated from the back-passenger seat to under the driver's seat.

He didn't get his pants wet, but found himself in a bigger mess. He was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence and malicious mischief.

The car was out of service for about 30 minutes to clean up the two to three inch pool of urine in the car.
