MADEIRA BEACH, FL -- Detectives were sent to the home at 343 Rex Place Apartments at the Madeira Beach Yacht Club after two bodies were found inside.

Neighbors called police to check on the welfare of the couple inside the apartment and that is when they found a man and woman in their 60's dead inside.

Detectives were called at 3:42 p.m. Wednesday but they are still investigating when the couple died since their bodies were in a state of decomposition.

The initial investigation shows no obvious signs of foul play.  Authorities are unable to say how long ago they died.

No identifications are being released until next of kin can be reached.
