PUTNAM COUNTY, FL -- The girlfriend of Haleigh Cummings' father says a tip to authorities that she wasn't at home when the girl disappeared nine days ago is not true.
“I was there the whole night,” Misty Croslin told the Florida Times-Union Wednesday.
Croslin, 17, and other family members have found themselves under growing scrutiny nationwide as authorities continue to look for the girl.
5-year-old Haleigh vanished from her home in the early morning hours of Febraury 10. Detectives believe she was abducted.
Croslin said she was allowed back in the double-wide home on Monday. It was the first time she'd been inside since Haleigh went missing.
She originally said that Haleigh was wearing a pink Hannah Montana top when she disappeared. But while in the home on Monday, she said she found the shirt in a pile of laudry by the back door.
She said she has no idea how it got there.
Authorities say they've received more that 1,200 leads in the case.
The reward for finding Haleigh has grown. A local resident, wishing to remain anonymous, has added $10,000 to the $6,000 already being offered for information that leads investigators to the missing girl.
