TAMPA, FL -- A 17-year-old girl was grazed by a bullet outside a Tampa apartment complex Saturday.

According to Tampa Police, a group of males were standing outside the C. Blythe Andrews Apartments, 2201 East Osborne Avenue, around 9:45 pm when they were approached by another group of males and an argument ensued.

Detectives said one of the males, a teen between 16-18 years old, took out a gun and shot at the group.

The bullet struck a 17-year old girl, grazing her in the face, then striking her in the hand. She was in stable condition at the scene but was taken to Tampa General Hospital.

Investigators said the victim was not associated with either group and appears to be an innocent bystander.

Both groups of men fled the scene after the shooting and no one is currently in custody.

It's not known what the argument was about.
