TAMPA, FL -- A Tampa woman has become the fourth person in Florida to claim a major jackpot since the multi-state lottery began selling tickets here last month.

57-year old Lavern Logan matched 5 numbers in the January 31st drawing.  She purchased her winning ticket at the Sweetbay located at 805 Martin Luther King Drive.

She paid an extra dollar for a Power Play ticket, increasing her prize from $200,000 to 1 million dollars, Florida lottery officials announced.

She is the fourth Floridian to win a million dollars since Florida began selling Powerball tickets on January 4th. Logan told lottery officials she plans to share the money with her family after she pays some bills and saves for her retirement.

The Sweetbay where she bought the winning ticket will get a $1,000 bonus.

The next Powerball drawing is this Saturday.
