Tampa teen playing with gun dies

TAMPA, FL -- Hospital officials say the teen who shot himself Friday has died.

Police in Tampa are investigating a shooting where they believe a teenager accidentally shot himself in the head.

According to investigators 19-year-old John Weber was at his friends home at 5613 S. Bayshore Blvd, when he accidentally shot himself in the head while playing with a handgun.

Weber was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he died overnight. 

No one else was injured in the incident and the case is still under investigation.
