Last Update: 12/04/2008 8:56 am
TAMPA, FL -- Not every store is an easy mark for would be robbers. Certainly not Total Wine and Spirits on Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa.

Police say 49-year-old Michael Williams walked into the store this week and tried to walk out with two bottles of liquor. Store Clerk Leigha Laubach confronted Williams and refused to let him leave.

According to a Tampa Police report, "The defendant shoved the victim and then punched her in the face with his fist. He was confronted by other employees and he fought with them until he was taken to the ground and restrained. Officers arrived and took the defendant into custody."

Williams is now in the Hillsborough County Jail, without the liquor.
