Tampa man accused of torturing child

TAMPA, FL -- Tampa police have charged an Iraqi born Tampa man with torturing a female family member after she caught him with pornography.

According to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's arrest log, Moslim Al-Assadi has been arrested for aggravated child abuse (torture) for domestic violence. He is being held without bond.

A Tampa Police report says, "(o)fficers responded out to a local elementary school to investigate a child abuse. The female victim reported that a relative bound her hands as a punishment for finding his pornographical movies. Then he placed her in a partially filled bath tub causing distress in her breathing. This was witnessed by other siblings."

Police did not say if the girl was seriously hurt, nor did they reveal her age.
