LAKELAND, FL -- Santa Fe Catholic High School has so many sick students the school's administration decided to shut the doors for a four-day weekend.
The school's president, Gwen Cote, said 40-percent of the student body is out sick and 20-percent of the faculty is infected with the flu.
Five kids have tested positive for the swine flu, but Cote said they didn't want to take any chances.
"We're scrubbing down the school and hoping four days will bring everyone back a little healthier on Monday."
The school was closed Thursday, October 8. Officials hope to reopen on Monday, October 12.
