PINELLAS COUNTY, FL -- St.Petersburg Police have arrested 3 suspects for stealing weapons, including 2 from radio personality Bubba the Love Sponges' car.

Around 8:00pm on Wednesday, officers investigated a vehicle burglary at 901 Northshore Drive NE. A witness saw the tag number and had a description of the suspects' vehicle.

The same suspects committed four vehicle burglaries in the parking lot of Sunrise Lanes Bowling Alley a short time later. One of those vehicles belonged to Bubba the Love Sponge Clem. The suspects stole several items from Clem's Chevrolet Suburban, including two handguns.

Detectives from the Department's CASE unit found the suspects' vehicle in the area and followed it. They arrested three of the four suspects who were inside of the vehicle. One of the suspects had to be restrained with the use of a Taser.

The fourth suspect escaped on foot, but was later identified. Detectives have issued probable cause for his arrest.

Investigators recovered six handguns from the vehicle, two of which were stolen from Bubba the Love Sponge Clem's vehicle.

One of the recovered guns was identified as a department-issued handgun that was stolen on June 13 from the personal SUV of Major Donnie Williams of the St. Petersburg Police Department while he was off-duty.

Detectives are still investigating how the suspects came into possession of the remaining three handguns that were found inside the vehicle. They are also checking whether or not the Chevrolet Tahoe had been reported stolen.

Nicholas McCant, Mario McCant, and a juvenile were arrested and charged with various  burglary andresisting arrest charges.
