TAMPA, FL -- Tampa Police have released a description of two suspects believed to be behind the burglary of a Buccaneers player's South Tampa home last weekend.
Starting safety Sabby Piscitelli, 26, returned to his home on Bayshore Boulevard Sunday, hours after the team's 1st win, only to discover that it had been ransacked. Police say two men broke in through a rear door, and made off with a flat screen TV and jewelry.
Thursday police released the following description of the two suspects:
The first suspect is described as a 25-26 year old black male, 5' 11" tall with a slender build, short hair and dark skin. He has a long face with goatee and mustache, and was wearing a black tank top and shorts at the time of the crime.
Suspect #2 is described as 30-year-old black male, with a husky build and weighing about 220 lbs. He was wearing a black beanie pulled down over his ears and a white T-shirt with jean shorts.
The two were seen leaving the scene in a white 2000-2005 Chevy Impala or Malibu, with no rear spoiler.
Police believe Piscitelli may hay been targeted because he is a Bucs player.
"It's unusual to have a burglary on a Sunday afternoon when all the neighbors are at home. It appears the suspects knew the owner was a Bucs player and would be on the field Sunday." said police spokeswoman Laura McElroy.
