ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- About 10-20 people were calmly waiting for the bus in St. Petersburg Friday night when reports of the bus station on fire sent them into the streets.

Fire crews were dispatched to the Greyhound Bus Terminal at 180 North Dr. Martin Luther King Street at 7:42 p.m.

Toward the rear of the building, firefighters found heavy smoke in the building which forced the evacuation.  The fire was located in a back storage room which was out in just a few minutes.

Thermal Imaging Camera was used to find hots pots but the fire was out.  Compounding the problems the power had to be cut to the building as a precaution so the terminal building had to be closed.  No one reported injuries.
