cthisr1, Um,could it have taken the gentleman a few tries because he couldve been being hit at the time and the biker couldve been dodgeing the bullets? Maybe you shouldnt be too quick to assume. Could your veiws be biased based on the fact that you work with the elderly? I think that the gentleman must still be very strong in mind and health if he can survive an attack like the one being reported. Doesnt sound to me to be a frail imcompetent individual. Plus you add the stress of sick wife in the hospital and hes come thru all that.

You know cthisr1 may be right that Mr.Snyder may have no right driving. But it still does not give the other driver the right to attack him like he did. This gives Mr.Snyder every right to defend himself. We all need to remember that we will be this age at sometime . Mr.Snyder may have no other means of getting about so he may be forced to drive. He may also be a very good driver this could have just been an accident like nobody else has ever pulled out in front or cut off a motorcycle before.Well being a motorcycle rider I have been cut off by middle aged drivers does this give me the right to follow them home and then beat the crap out of them or when a women cuts me off does it give me the right to beat the crap out of her. Let me answer this question for you NO it does not. There are laws in place to take care of this kind of driving. And cthisr1 I am not trying to bust your chops but what if this was your dad and someone did this to him.It was an accident people have them all the time you can read about them on the internet are see it on the news or sometimes you drive by them. It does not give the victim of the accident the right to beat the crap out of the other person no matter how bad you want too. So I say to all everyone has an accident at some point in their life so don't be so fast to judge others because of their age.

ok It took Mr. Snyder 3 shots to hit one man as close range in arm and not kill him. What about the other 2 shots who could he have killed with them. FBI check only looks to see if he is a felon and if he has been in a mental hospital. You do not have to have extensive hands on training to receive a permit. Sorry he is a holocaust survior. My dad served in WWII,Korea, and Vietnam. He is 83. I work with elderly all day long and will tell you at 84 he has no business with a gun as we can tell by taking 3 shots to shoot a man in the arm. I find it odd you are not concerned that mr. snyders driving skills could very well have killed a man. When you cut off other motorist and driving in a manner that could kill or injure someone that should be a crime. Oh wait it is! We just ignore it when they are elderly. I still say lets have a police officer ride in a car with mr. synder and see if he has the skills needed to drive. no where in the report does it say mr. snyder said any

Lets see, Mr. Snyder is a holocaust survivor, served in the armed forces, holds a concealed weapons permit which requires an FBI background check AND requires extensive hands on training administered by a certified firearms instructor which he must be found proficient and competent in order to be licensed to carry by the state. And he said he shot the man in the arm because he didn't want to kill him. And the police have arrested the other fella. NO...We ALL don't know what happened! With assults against the elderly skyrocketing; I say Bravo Mr. Synder!!

I live here and so do you. We all know what happened. The old man almost ran over the biker. The biker followed the old man to hospital and began yelling at him, telling the old man he almost killed him. The old man most likely under medication in which he should not be driving or handling a gun shot the biker. If the police do, a blood test they will most likely discover the old man was under the influence of prescription drugs. If police do more checking will, most likely discover the old man mentally, physically and medically has no business driving. How many of us have near accidents from old people. For once, tell the truth and stop blaming everyone else for elderly accidents. Self defense shooting I call BULL…!
