ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- It didn't take long to see who the two top vote getters would be in the race for mayor in St. Petersburg.  Before the final votes were counted Kathleen Ford and Bill Foster had commanding leads.

Ford took a little more than 25% of the vote while Foster took just over 27%.  Scroll down to see the complete results.

Ten candidates were running for the position.  It is currently held by Mayor Rick Baker who is stepping down because of term limits.

Also on the ballot were three city council seats and an amendment proposing the county canvas all city election returns.

Belle-Air Bluffs is also asking voters if the city should contract for fire services.
