NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- Two suspects involved in a small crime spree are considered armed and dangerous by Pasco County deputies after one wielding a gun attacked a 71-year-old woman in the Ross parking lot.

The woman was pistol-whipped after she refused to give the suspect money.  A couple who tried to intervene on her behalf became victims as the suspect pointed the gun at the man and demanded that his wife turn over their vehicle keys.  The suspect was acting alone at the time and drove off in the couple's van to pick up another man or woman according to investigators.

Next stop for the suspects was the Medicine Shoppe on State Road 54. They tried to rob the pharmacist and his wife but they put up a struggle that was caught on video tape.  The pharmacist tried to wrestle the rife or shotgun away from one of the suspects but he managed to free himself and take off in the stolen van.

The stolen van was found at a business near Duck Slough.

Anyone with information that will help arrest the suspects is asked to call the Pasco Sheriff's Office.
