BRANDON, FL -- A teenage mom and her husband from Brandon have been charged with child abuse for smoking marijuana in a car with their two week old baby along for the ride, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Deputies said.

Nineteen- year-old Cierra Michel and 21-year-old Mike Johnson were both arrested for child abuse. Two other people in the car, Sidney Cochran and Carissa Stubbs were charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies pulled over the car on US 92 for a noisy exhaust pipe. When the deputies approached they noticed a strong odor of marijuana. They also noticed an infant in a car seat.

Deputies say the baby girl was only 14 days old.
