ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- Firefighters quickly put out a fire at an auto repair shop Saturday afternoon.

When crews arrived at Five Star Automotive on 1st Avenue South at 2 pm, they found heavy smoke coming from all sides on the 1920's era building, as well as flames coming from one side.

There were also reports of popping sounds coming from inside the building.

The fire was put out in about 10 minutes. According to Chief David Moore, the fire began in the owner's office, and was contained to the back of the building.

No one was inside when the fire started.

No damage estimates were available, Moore said.

The fire remains under investigation.
