TAMPA BAY, FL -- The FBI has released its semi-annual Uniform Crimes Report.

The Florida cities in the database include the major Tampa Bay area municipalities.
The statistics cover the years 2007 and 2008. You can compare the two years and look at the change in violent crimes and property crimes over the period. For example, violent crime in Tampa was down in 2008, with 1,506 crimes reported compared to 1,842 in 2007.
