CITRUS PARK, FL -- A monkey in Citrus Park caught the attention of several people this morning.

Deputies went to Bellingham Drive after getting a call from a man that said he saw the primate in his back yard.

Deputies did not find the animal.

Sara Asteasuainzarra said that she almost hit the animal with her car as she was driving on Gunn Highway.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission officials believe this monkey is the same one that was spotted nearby last week.

FFC Law Enforcement officers were not sent to the scene. Officials said they do not believe this particular monkey will hurt anyone.
