PALMETTO, FL -- A Manatee County deputy was on patrol early Tuesday when he encountered some unusual pedestrians.  He was suddenly surprised when two wild hogs about ran into his lane.

Authorities say deputy Deputy R. Ragoonanan tried to swerve and miss the hogs, which he managed to do.  Then a third hog then appeared.

The deputy continued his evasive action, but the third hog hit the deputy's patrol car.

The impact damaged the car's bumper and the driver side door.

Deputy Ragoonanan was not hurt.  A sheriff's news release did not say what happened to the wild hog.
