PALMETTO, FL -- The Manatee County Sheriff's Office says Hirum Croxall has not been seen since yesterday.

He was convicted of sexually abusing a child under the age of 12 and is considered a sexual predator.

Deputies say he walked away from his rooming house Thursday in Palmetto and has not been seen since. He was wearing a GPS device, but the last known coordinates were at a Wal-Mart at 5315 Cortez Road West.

Deputies say it appears the GPS has not moved since Thursday. They believe he may have taken it off in or around the store.
