I am sorry for this family's troubles. Yet, I am glad the mom had the gun available to defend herself and her family. Unfortunatly the liberals will try to make this into another anti-gun situation instead of focusing on the mothers courage to do what she had to do to protect herself and her loved ones. Where would she and her family be now if she hadn't had a gun available and known how to use it?

Jimmy Carter's "Wright Rossi Report said the mere presence of a gun stopped two million serious crimes cold, without a shot being fired. The latest studies peg that at close to ten million. The risk of keeping a gun in the house? With between 175 and 200 million people living with guns, and some 800 "fatal domestic firearms accidents" a year, the odds are less than 1 for every 200,000 man years of exposure. Is the fear of one chance of a fatal firearms accident every 200,000 years greater than your 1 chance in 30 of becoming another crime statistic? And as far as this case goes - good on her! She probably saved her life and the lives of her children.

Another warm and comforting story about families having guns. Should make hundreds of families rush out and arm themselves so they can have heartwarming moments like this couple.
