CARROLLWOOD, FL -- Matt Browder was mowing a lawn in Lutz when a pygmy rattlesnake bit him on the foot.  He was only wearing flip-flops.

The 28-year-old is expected to be okay, but he will have to spend at least a day in the hospital.

Broward was the ninth venomous snake bite patient at University Community Hospital in recent months.  If that pace continues, it will set a record.
