LARGO, FL -- A Largo police officer has been terminated from his position following a drunk driving arrest.

Investigators say off-duty Officer Darren Cockeram caused two accidents back on August 20 with his pickup truck and left the scene of both.

No one was hurt in either accident, but Cockeram was arrested for DUI.

An investigation by the Largo Police Department was immediately launched and it was determined that Cockeram violated a City of Largo policy.

As a result, Cockeram was let go from his position.
