DADE CITY, FL -- Pasco Sheriff's detectives say two people are dead in an apparent murder-suicide.

Deputies went to the Dade City home of Terry Wayne Scott, 59, and his 48-year-old wife Veronica to do a welfare check at around 8 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, they found the couple's bodies inside the garage of their home at 14507 Mt. Zion Road.

According to investigators, Terry shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself.

The couple were divorcing, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Terry Scott had been facing a grand theft charge after being arrested by the Zephyrhills Police Department on April 17th.
