THE VILLAGES, FL -- Hundreds of people began lining up early this morning at The Villages for a chance to meet Sarah Palin and get her autograph.

The former GOP vice presidential candidate will visit the area this afternoon.   The stopover includes a book signing at Barnes and Noble.

Outside the bookstore yesterday, it looked like business as usual.

Inside, store manager Cheyenne Coon couldn't give away everything about the big event, but said she's been busy getting ready for Sarah Palin's visit to her store.

"It's been a little bit crazy today!"

She can't even say how many copies of Palin's "Going Rogue" her store has sold so far.

But if you want to meet the former Alaska governor, you need to have purchased the book before lining up.

"In order to be in the signing, you have to have a wrist band," Coon explained. "In order to get a wrist band, you have to have a Barnes & Noble original receipt."

Mary Glotfelty is one Sarah Palin fan who spent $28.99 plus tax to read about the famous woman who intrigues her.

"I'm anxious to meet her and I'm impressed with her," Glotfelty said. "I was excited when she ran for vice president."

Even though Palin is set to start signing at 2:30pm, those with books and wrist bands started lining up around 3 a.m. Tuesday.

And Cheyenne is prepared for the possibility of Palin pandemonium. "I'm expecting a really large crowd. A really large crowd."
