TAMPA, FL -- School bullies beware. The anti-bullying program in Hillsborough County just received $50,000 in additional funding.

The Sheriff's office used money seized from drug dealers to make the contribution possible.

Chief Deputy Joe Docobo presented the check to county commissioners.

"I think it sends a message that we're using money from criminals to prevent crime," Docobo said.

The bully buster program started this fall following the alleged rape of a student at Walker Middle School.

Students now hear more information about bullying in class, the county recently placed signs on bus stops advertising the campaign, and a tip line through Crimestoppers has been set up.

Many concerned parents hope funds will continue.

According to Crimestoppers, about 15 valid tips have already come in.
