TAMPA, FL- Hillsborough County students will be able to get H1NI flu shots after school starting Monday. The vaccination centers will be set up a four area high schools and will be open from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The centers will be located at the following schools: Armwood High, Bowers/Whitley Career Center, Jefferson High and Leto High.
The centers are set up to provide the vaccine to elementary school students, charter school students, virtual school students and students from school district centers.
Parents must be present when an elementary school aged child is vaccinated.
Parents are encouraged to bring the parental permission form with them but the forms will be available at the centers as well. No child will be given the vaccination without the completed consent form signed by a parent or guardian.
In the coming weeks, centers will be set up at the following schools: Blake, Chamberlain, East Bay, Gaither, King, Lennard, Middleton, Plant City, Riverview, Robinson, Sickles, and Tampa Bay Tech, and Wharton high schools and Sulphur Springs Elementary.
