TAMPA, FL -- Radio and TV personality and author Glenn Beck was back in Tampa Saturday. The city where it all started for him 9 years ago when he developed his no famous show format in WFLA Radio.

"This is where it began and that is why we are going to start something again in Florida."

Beck made the announcement to an exuberant crowd of hundred of people. The fans had lined up at The Borders Book Store on Dale Mabry in hopes of getting a signed copy of Beck's new book, "Arguing with Idiots.

But, Beck explained his real purpose back in the state was to announce his new venture.

"I said in August I was working on a plan, but it was going to take me awhile because I was assembling a team of experts to really get something just exactly right to take us in the next direction the next great phase of america and I am going to announce the whole thing."

He did just that at The Villages, a 55 plus retirement community in Ocala. Beck had said his plan which he calls his brainchild.

The Fox News host also said earlier this year this an opportunity to go beyond broadcasting his opinions on television and start rallying his political base, which he calls his audience.

Beck will sponsor conventions across the country featuring conservative speakers, he will also rally voting drives. In Tampa, he explained his plan like this,

"We are kicking something off here today and then I am coming back here in a couple of months and we are really going to start get things happening in florida to take our country back in the right direction."

There were loud cheers and clapping for Beck who has made a national name for himself. Some have even hailed it the Glenn Beck Phenomena

According to Forbes magazine Beck earned $23 million from June 2008 to June of this year:

Nearly 400 stations carry his radio show nationally, more than one million subscribers to free daily e-mail sent from his website and he has 2.7 million viewers on average.

His representatives also said he has had 5 consecutive books on the New York Times best-seller list.

Saturday, because there was a huge turnout in Tampa, beck admitted he probably would not be able to get to everyone. But thanked his fans,
