ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) -- An organization that supports equal marriage rights for the gay community will hold a candlelight vigil near the wedding ceremony of Gov. Charlie Crist and Carole Rome.

The couple is scheduled to marry in St. Petersburg Friday night. The organization, Impact-Florida, says they are not protesting Crist's wedding, but advocating that all Floridians have the right to marry.

In a blow to Florida's gay community, voters in November passed an amendment that defines marriage in the state's constitution as between a man and a woman.
