Community to honor fallen Plant City soldier

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL -- The body of fallen Plant City soldier will be carried in a procession in Tampa on Thursday afternoon.

25-year-old Army Spec. Eric Lembke who lost his life in battle in Afghanistan will be escorted by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Lembke's remains will be escorted from MacDill Air Force Base around 2:30 p.m., north on Bayshore Blvd., east on Channelside Blvd to State Road 60, then east on the Selmon Expressway.

The procession will end at the Hopewill Funeral Home in Plant City.

The public is welcome to pay their respects along the route on Bayshore Blvd. and Channelside Drive.

A visitation for Lembke will be held at the First Baptist Church in Plant City on Friday, November 6th from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m.

His funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 7th.

Eric Lembke is survived by his wife, Mashelle, and their two children, Alexis 6, and Nathaniel, 3.
