CLEARWATER, FL -- A judge has set bond at $100,000 for a woman accused of trying to kill her neighbor.
55 year-old Martha Gold made her first appearance in court this afternoon. Detectives arrested and charged Gold with attempted murder after they say she got into a fight with her upstairs neighbor when she refused to drive her to buy booze.
Detectives arrived at the Top of the World Condominium in the 2200 block of Costa Rica Drive about 11:30 Wednesday night for a report of a stabbing and arrested Gold.
The neighbor, 82-year-old Genevieve Zebrowski, was stabbed when she said she was not going to drive her to buy alcohol, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's detectives.
They say she threatened to kill her neighbor.
Zebrowski was taken by ambulance to Bayfront Medical Center for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Gold is being held without bond in the Pinellas County Jail.
