Clearwater man accused of samurai attack on girlfriend

CLEARWATER, FL -- A Clearwater man is charged with attempted murder after allegedly attacking his girlfriend with a sword.

Police say 37-year-old Edwin Rennolds III of Clearwater slashed his girlfriend in the forehead over the weekend with a samurai. He’s also charged with tampering with physical evidence for allegedly trying to cover the crime up. cm-bd

Rennolds is accused of washing bloodied sheets and a mattress cover before police arrived.
