Cemetery sexual assault suspect charged in Temple Terrace

TEMPLE TERRACE, FL -- Sex in a cemetery ended with the arrest of a 47-year-old man early Thursday morning.

Temple Terrace police say that at 4:00 a.m., William Koenig forced a woman to disrobe and have sex at a cemetery behind Overlook Drive. He was arrested about 90 minutes later.

The arrest record indicates that the victim suffered cuts on her arms and was under the influence of alcohol and unable to resist.  Koenig was reportedly involved in an altercation at his residence earlier in the morning in which he broke the victim's nose.

Koenig is being held at the Orient Road Jail under charges of sexual battery, aggravated battery, aggravated assault and false imprisonment.. His bail has not been set.
