ELK GROVE, CA -- A 5th grade teacher is unsure of her future today after she made a DVD of school memories and sent it home with her students, unaware that the DVD contained pornography.

The error wasn't caught until after the video was sent home.

The DVD starts with a menu screen where parents could choose different school trips and functions to watch. When one of the videos is clicked, it shows students clapping in the classroom, then cuts to sex.

The students who watched the DVD recognized the person in the video as Isabelle Jackson Elementary teacher Crystal Defanti.

A parent received a phone call from Defanti the day after the video went out. She was crying, apologizing, and asking the man and his wife to call every parent and ask them not to watch the DVD.

Parents say Defanti is a good teacher, but she made an embarrassing mistake.

The Elk Grove Unified School District is investigating the situation, but a legal expert says that it was a mistake, not a crime, so Defanti will probably not lose her job.

Meanwhile, parents want the school to offer counseling for them and their children.

Officials say a new DVD will be mailed out to families after it has been reviewed.
