TAMPA BAY, FL -- Insurance companies have some advice for you: keep your vacation plans to yourself!

According to an article by abcnews.com, burglars use social networking sites to target victims by learning when they'll be away.

A survey found nearly two-thirds of people share their vacation plans online.

And if you combine that information with pictures you might post from inside your home, criminals know what you have and where to find it when you're gone.

Some criminals even make a list of items people have bragged about recently purchasing.
