ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- After working for almost a decade as a Nursing Services Coordinator at Bayfront Medical Center, detectives have arrested Zsamiko Walters Reid and charged her with first degree grand theft.

St. Petersburg Investigators say Reid worked at Bayfront for 8 years when administrators discovered she had stolen $368,562 from the company.

Authorities say Reid generated several hundred payroll checks between 2002 and 2008 and made them payable to other employees, but then converted those funds to her own use. Once the discovery was made, Bayfront terminated Reid in August of 2008.

If anyone has additional information about this case, please contact Detective Mark Marland, Economic Crimes Unit, at 727-893-4846.
