BARTOW, FL -- The Bartow Church Services Center burned down last week, along with food, clothing and toys intended for hundreds of needy families during hard times. They claim to have lost some key paperwork as well.

The agency typically feeds and clothes about 300 families in Bartow during the holidays.

Last month they gave lunch to more than 1,000 people who are down on their luck during the economy.

"Unemployment is up very high in the county, in fact we are higher than the state," said worker Dixie Shilver.

Now that workers are getting reorganized, they have noticed they lost some paperwork for people who have applied for Thanksgiving assistance.

If you you need to contact the Bartow Church Services Center, call 863-533-9055.
