Armed robbery suspect on the loose

LAKE WALES, FL -- Polk County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in identifying an armed robbery suspect.

Around 7:40 Wednesday night, police say a masked man, armed with a handgun, robbed the Citgo Store, at 20500 US Highway 27 in Lake Wales.

Police say the suspect entered the food store, walked up to the counter, pointed the firearm at the clerk and demanded money from the register.   

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'7”, with a thin build.  He was wearing a white cloth mask, a grey hooded sweatshirt, and dark pants.
