HUDSON, FL -- A camper and a counselor at a Christian youth camp are the latest confirmed cases of the swine flu in Pasco, county health officials confirmed.

Both fell ill while at the Word of Life Youth Camp last week, and one sought treatment at a clinic in Hernando County, said Deanna Krautner, public information officer for the Pasco County Health Department.

She said both have since recovered. The counselor has returned to work and the camper, who was only scheduled to attend camp for the one week, has returned home. The camper was attending a teen camp for 13-18 year olds, according to the camp's website.

Krautner did not disclose the age of gender of either victim, or whether the camper lived locally. She said that staff thoroughly scrubbed down the facility, located on Hudson Avenue, followed all CDC guidelines and is hosting another batch of campers this week.

An additional number of campers who showed flu-like symptoms were also sent home as a precaution, Krautner said.

These cases brought the number of confirmed cases in Pasco County to 10.
