MANGO, FL -- Hillsborough County Deputies are investigating a drive-by shooting at the Claymore Crossing Apartments at 5010 Claymore Drive around 8:30 Monday night.

According to investigators, 14-year-old Sauvallie Hagins was shot twice in the torso while he taking out the trash.

He was airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa with non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators do not believe Hagins was the intended target, but was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Witnesses said the gunman fled the area in a red/maroon vehicle, possibly a Crown Victoria, with large wheel rims.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
