One Hernando County woman says she's been forced to live in a tent for three weeks while waiting for FEMA help.

When Brendan Wilber leaves her tent each morning, its just a short walk to her home...or what’s left of it.

She said, "I put a lot of money put into that, it took me a few years, I can’t do it again."

Wilber's home was completely destroyed after a huge tree crushed it during the storm.

FEMA representatives in Hernando County said since Wilber signed up for FEMA on Sept. 12 and she should have an inspector within 30 days, so sometime next week.

FEMA did offer Wilber a hotel stay but she said she’d rather stay close to her home, "I have no vehicle, so I’d be trapped there. I’d rather be trapped here so I can deal with my mess over there. I want to be here if somebody comes."

Wilber hopes FEMA will be able to inspect her damage sooner rather than later.
