WILLOWICK, Ohio - One baby boy was so eager to meet his mom and dad, he just couldn’t wait to get to the hospital.
That’s what Willowick Fire Department officials said happened to a local family at 7:11 Tuesday morning. The couple pulled into the parking lot of DawnChem Inc., at 30510 Lakeland Blvd.
The parents were driving to the hospital. "We got in the car, my water broke, drove down the street and I said I don't think we are going to make it to UH, go to Lake West," said Kristen Roth. But the couple didn't even make it there. Roth told her husband to pull over in the parking lot and that's when baby Aiden was born.
"As I pulled over, I was on the phone with 911. I pulled over, opened the door and pretty much just caught him," said Cory Roth.
In the incredible 9-1-1 recording, the father is heard pleading with dispatchers to send help. Within seconds, he tells the dispatcher that the baby is out and breathing, and everyone is ok.
Mom and baby Aiden are doing just fine. They are expected to go home on Thursday. The couple are already parents to 3-year-old Noah.
