A Wesley Chapel man says a wild, violent group of high school students attacked him in a local park in a case of mistaken identity.

Tony Fulsom, 19, says dozens of teens watched as other teenagers stomped and kicked his face, leaving him blooded and with a concussion.

"Obviously I took the worst of the beating," he said. "There were a bunch of kids in the park, little little, like small children in the park at the time. Everyone obviously just looked freaked out."

Kristina Garries lives in the Seven Oaks community and her 12-year-old son was on the basketball courts when violence broke out.

"It was terrifying," she said "I don't want anything to happen to any of those kids."

People in the community said on Facebook the fight started with local high school students taunting each other on Twitter with racial slurs and obscenities. Some also tweeted a picture, full of obscene gestures, providing the address of the Seven Oaks Clubhouse, urging others to come out and fight.

Deputies say between 15 and 30 teenagers showed up.

"God forbid one of these kids would have thought to randomly start punching even the smaller ones," Garries said.

The Pasco County Sheriff's office said it appears to be a case of mistaken identify, as Fulsom told deputies he didn't know any of the teens who beat him.

The teens continue to taunt each other on social media, asking for "round 3."

"It will just keep going back and forth and eventually someone will get more seriously hurt than I was," Fulsom said.

PCSO has not made any arrests in this case and said deputies are still investigating.

ABC Action News reached out to the Seven Oaks Community HOA for comment and currently have not heard back.
