MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Have you ever seen The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan? In nearly every episode of the National Geographic Channel program, Millan explains a dog owner must become their canine's pack leader, the "alpha male."
It does not matter if you are a woman or a man. Millan says if you do not show dominance over your dog, your pet will control you and can become aggressive.
The same type of pattern exists in much of the primate world where a dominant male controls his tribe.
The dominant behavior shown by monkeys was recently caught on video at the Memphis Zoo.
YouTube contributor nruckler5 says as the alpha male monkey saw him as he was walking into the zoo cafe and began to go crazy.
The cafe manager explained the monkey feels threatened by tall males. She told him to go stand by the window and turn his back on the monkey. The monkey would then attempt to attack him.
As you can see in the video below, it is a good thing there is a thick piece of glass between the man and the monkey.
