HOUSTON - One play really stood out during Tuesday night's Cincinnati Reds-Houston Astros game.
In the bottom of the first inning, Jonathan Villar singled to center field. Villar tried to stretch the hit into a double, but was thrown out at second base.
Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips tagged out Villar by putting his glove between his legs. What made the play comical was Villar ended up sliding right into Phillips' behind.
People commenting on the play on Twitter started using trending term #butttag.
Even Phillips used the term. He tweeted on his @DatDudeBP account: "#RealTalk ... Normally after a W, I'm feeling great! But after what happen to me during the game, all I can say is, THAT WAS FUNNY! #ButtTag"
Tampa Bay Rays pitcher David Price found the play hilarious responding on his @DAVIDprice14 Twitter account: " hahaha @DatDudeBP is something else!!!"
That got a response from Phillips: " Yep, you know me LMAO!!! I'm clownin' like always RT @DAVIDprice14 : hahaha @DatDudeBP is something else!!!"
Sometimes it's just good to end up being the butt of a joke.
