A man and woman were both taken to Tampa General Hospital suffering severe burns. According to Tampa Fire Rescue, the incident "appears to be the result of a domestic dispute."
Tampa Police and Fire Rescue unites arrived at 3001 E. Ida St. around 2 a.m. and found the man in front of the house and the woman behind the house, both with severe burns. The fire was already out but firefighters did search the home to make sure no one else was inside. A third person, a 53-year-old man who lives at the house, escaped and was uninjured.
Due to the suspicious nature of the incident, the Arson Task Force was called out to hte scene to investigate.
The 58-year-old man who was injured lives at the home. The woman who suffered burns does not live there.
