Officials have not released a total for the number in attendance, but Trump tweeted after the event that 11,000 were inside the Sun Dome.

All day, supporters, fans and those who are just curious about the Republican presidential candidate and businessman have waited outside the arena.
Trump's visit to Tampa comes at a critical time in his campaign.

After his GOP primary win in New Hampshire and finishing second place in Iowa, Trump is turning his attention to the southern states such as South Carolina.  The  Republican presidential primary will be held on Feb. 20.

Florida will go to the polls on March 15, as well as North Carolina, Missouri, Illinois and Ohio.
