St. Anthony's Triathlon officially gets under way amid tighter security

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - After a moment of silence for the victims of the Boston Marathon, the horn blew and the first of thousands of triathletes from all over the world took to the waters of St. Petersburg to start the St. Anthony's Triathlon. Though there is an increased police presence this year, competitors said they felt safe at the race and weren't worried.

The St. Anthony's Triathlon is a very special event for at least one local triathlete. He collapsed on the course last year, he was revived, and after an amazing survival and recovery, he made a comeback on the course this year.
